Use Claude without an Anthropic subscription: packs, Gold or API

Using Claude without an Anthropic subscription is possible, and without opening yet another account. On DarkGPT, you have three options: a gem pack with no subscription, the Gold plan, or the pay-per-token API. Here’s how many messages each one gets you and which one fits.

Claude without an Anthropic subscription: how it works

You go through DarkGPT, an independent service that gives you five versions of Claude from a single account, with no Anthropic account.

DarkGPT brings 42 models together in one interface. Each message costs a number of gems that depends on the model:

ModelGems / messageThinking surchargeBest for
Claude Sonnet 4.5500+180Long projects, code, writing
Claude Sonnet 4.6550+180The flagship: code and writing
Claude Opus 4.5650+220Deep reasoning
Claude Opus 4.6700+230Faster, more precise Opus
Claude Opus 4.7800+250The most powerful in the lineup

Three ways in: a gem pack (no subscription), the Gold plan or higher, or the API per token. For details on each model, read our Claude Opus and Sonnet guide.

“I paid for Claude, and it won’t write my scene.”
Mainstream AI : I’m not comfortable with this passage
DarkGPT · Grok 4.2 Non Reasoning · Unfiltered mode
On DarkGPT, your pack also covers the Unfiltered mode models. Grok 4.2 writes the scene, Claude takes over for style. One gem balance.

Why Claude in particular

In the catalog, Claude is the benchmark for two things: writing and code.

Its writing sounds natural, it follows long instructions without dropping half of them, and it keeps track of a project that runs over dozens of messages. For code, Claude Sonnet 4.6 is the flagship: it understands an existing codebase before changing it and suggests targeted fixes instead of rewriting everything.

The flip side is price: it’s the most expensive family in the catalog in gems. That’s why picking the right option matters, and why you shouldn’t spend it on questions a 15-gem model handles fine. Still torn between Claude and its rivals? Our Claude vs ChatGPT comparison helps you decide.

Option 1: Claude without a subscription, with a gem pack

In the chat, the Elite, Ultimate and Max packs are how you get Claude without a subscription: one payment, gems you use at your own pace.

Only these three packs include Claude. Here’s how many messages each one gets you:

PackGemsPriceSonnet 4.5Sonnet 4.6Opus 4.5Opus 4.7
Elite8,500€59.99≈ 17≈ 15≈ 13≈ 10
Ultimate20,000€99.99≈ 40≈ 36≈ 30≈ 25
Max50,000€199.99≈ 100≈ 90≈ 76≈ 62

Number of messages if you spend the whole pack on one model, without Thinking. In real life you mix: a draft with a cheaper model, the final version with Claude.

Price per gem by pack

The bigger the pack, the cheaper the gem: about €0.71 per 100 gems with Elite, €0.50 with Ultimate and €0.40 with Max. If you know you’ll use Claude a lot, Max nearly halves the cost of each message compared with Elite.

Heads up: the Essential (1,500 gems, €15.99) and Premium (3,500 gems, €29.99) packs unlock every model except Claude.

Option 2: the Gold plan, if you use Claude every day

For daily use, Gold is the cheapest option: 3,000 gems a day for €51.99 a month.

Gold unlocks all 42 models, Claude Sonnet and Claude Opus included, plus vision, file analysis, DreamGPT Video and server priority.

PlanGems / daySonnet 4.6 / dayOpus 4.7 / day
Gold (€51.99/month)3,000≈ 5≈ 3
Platinum (€89.99/month)6,000≈ 10≈ 7
Diamond (€189.99/month)15,000≈ 27≈ 18

The math that matters: 5 Sonnet 4.6 messages a day for 30 days is 150 messages, or 82,500 gems. No pack covers that, not even Max.

If you use Claude every day, the subscription is far cheaper. If you use it now and then, a pack saves you from paying every month.

🎃 Halloween deal: −10% on every subscription until October 31 at midnight — just open a ticket on the site, on Telegram or on Discord.

Option 3: the API, paid per token

The API is the no-subscription option for developers: you only pay for the tokens you use, from €10 of credit.

For a script, a bot or an integration, the DarkGPT API offers three Claude models:

API modelInput / 1,000 tokensOutput / 1,000 tokensTypical request*
Claude Haiku 4.5€0.00938€0.03000≈ €0.049
Claude 4.5 Sonnet€0.01500€0.04688≈ €0.077
Claude 4.6 Sonnet€0.01688€0.05250≈ €0.086

* 2,000 input tokens (about 1,500 words) and 1,000 output tokens. €10 of credit covers about 115 requests like that with Claude 4.6 Sonnet, or about 205 with Claude Haiku 4.5.

Opus isn’t offered in the API: it stays available in the chat. The same credit works in DarkGPT IDE, to code with Claude right on your computer. You buy credit from the shop.

Claude without a subscription or with Gold: which to pick

Occasional use: a pack. Daily use: Gold or higher. Automation: the API.

Get started with Claude in 4 steps

Four steps are enough, and the first one is free.

  1. Create your accountOn darkgpt.chat, for free, to try the interface with the 5 free models.
  2. Pick your optionAn Elite, Ultimate or Max pack from the shop, or the Gold plan and up. Pay with crypto (automatic) or PayPal (proof by ticket).
  3. Select Claude Sonnet 4.6It’s the best starting point. Keep Opus for the truly hard problems.
  4. Prep with a cheaper modelDraft with DeepSeek v4 Pro (150 gems) or Gemini 2.5 Pro (180 gems), then Claude for the final version.

Requests worth a Claude message

Save Claude for tasks where its writing and coding quality makes the difference:

  • “Here’s chapter 3. Rewrite it with more tension, keep the dialogue, cut 30% of the descriptions.”
  • “Here’s my function and the exact error. Explain the cause in two sentences, then suggest a minimal fix.”
  • “Read this business plan and list the three weakest assumptions, with a quick way to test each one.”
  • “Write the sales page for my online course: direct tone, 5 concrete benefits, a 4-question FAQ.”

Claude, plus a plan B when it refuses

Paying for a Claude subscription means paying for an excellent but cautious model. When it refuses a dark scene or a sensitive topic, you have no other option on the same account.

On DarkGPT, your gems work for Claude and for the Unfiltered mode models. When Claude balks, switch to Grok 4.2, DeepSeek v4 Pro or Kimi K2.5 for the part it dodges, then go back to Claude for the finish.

Adults 18+ only; illegal use is still banned.

Pitfalls to avoid

Most bad surprises come from a plan that doesn’t include Claude, or a model that’s too expensive for the task.

  • Buying Basic, Essential or Premium for Claude: none of them include it.
  • Using Opus for a simple question: one Opus 4.7 message costs as much as 53 Qwen 3 235B messages.
  • Turning on Thinking everywhere: Thinking mode comes with the Platinum plan and adds 180 to 250 gems per Claude message. Keep it for logic and hard code (see Thinking mode).
  • Sending Claude an image: on DarkGPT, Claude models aren’t tagged Vision. For a screenshot, use Gemini 2.5 Pro or GLM 4.5V.

A question before buying? Support answers by ticket on the site, on Telegram or on Discord, usually within a few hours (24 h max).
